Tailored to be in keeping with its surroundings by reflecting the architectural features and materials of adjoining buildings, the new development will complement the proposed new Randall Close development.
The front of the building facing Battersea Bridge Road will be a distinctive composition of simple bands of light grey brickwork, layered with textured glazed brick panels highlighting the window openings. Recessed balconies and fully glazed winter gardens will add interest and smoothly curved corners echo shapes found on the former Police Station building next door.
The side elevation facing north on to Hyde Lane will be more conventional in appearance and consistent with the style and character of the proposed Randall Close buildings.
The elegantly proportioned ground floor frontage to the new community hall features floor to ceiling glazing framed by colourful, textured glazed brick columns and a welcoming corner entrance. The large amount of glazing will flood the meeting space with natural light and add life and visual interest to the street scene.
